Dad: I think that now is the winter of Pooch's discontent - squ*rrels starting to get a bit thin on the ground now as the cold, dark season progresses...
But the constant hope of seeing a bushy tail whisking out of sight keeps the gleam in his eye. :-)

Talking of eyes, I'm not sure if you can notice in this shot the slight cloudiness in Pooch's eye? It's something we've noticed with increasing
concern in recent months, in case it was cataracts or something. But v*t reckons it's nuclear sclerosis, a normal part of getting older.
