My Christmas present came early this year with a repeat sighting
of pelican D349, enjoying his winter migration in Brownsville, Texas!
He is now 11 years old. Last photographed him at this same location in 2009.

History of pelican D349:
American White Pelican D349 green band with white codes was banded as
a pre-fledged bird in July 2000 at Chase Lake National Wildlife Refuge,
North Dakota, by Mr. Tommy King, Research Wildlife Biologist, USDA/APHIS/WS.
It's a joy to be able to share these images with the actual bander! :)
