You do an excellent job of conveying feelings of isolation and despair all the while creating an ominous scene. My one suggestion would be to pan up a bit to eliminate the bottom 1/4 of the photo (which would create 1/4 more on the top with those interesting trees).

this is a really nice picture, the picture leads to your subject and it is simple there are not to many subjects, which is nice.
