F-4G 69-263

Spangdahlem

Another Wild Weasel in landing at Spangdahlem, a few years before retirement of the type. F-4G 69-0263/SP of 81TFS later, like so many other 'SP' F-4G's, became a QF-4G drone with 82ATRS and was shot down in December 1998.

Another F-4G '69-263', being 69-7263 ('WW'), was better off and is preserved at Wright Patterson since 1996.

There are two 69-263's. This is 0263, which became a drone. 7263 did not serve at SP when this pic was taken.

The plane in the photo, the ONLY 69-7263 (shown on the tail as 69-263) did NOT become a drone and it IS the one at the National Museum of the USAF.
