Sweet BiBi passed away peacefully in his sleep last week. He was 6 and a half.
Please join me in celebrating BiBi's magnificent and amazing life.
Rest in Peace.

Dear BiBi
I still remember the first day I met you in 05. You were so tiny, timid and shy. You were hiding in a little corner looking at us suspiciously. You would only start eating once our backs were turned.
You slowly started to get use to humans, trusting us more day by day. You used to show your affection by circling us, running round and round non stop! We wondered why you never got dizzy! You loved jumping over barriers I set up to stop you running amuck in the house, just to show me you are one athletic and clever bunny. You even climbed the stairs by yourself a few times to look for me amongst your many other amazing feats. In your younger days you also got me worried when you acquired the taste of cables and wires, thinking they were gourmet hay.
That was about when I started to take photos of you regularly, seen by millions all over the world, bringing a smile to everyone’s face with your cute poses and the occasional naughty deeds. You even appeared on the cover of a bunny magazine in 2007, encouraging you to become even more vain to be honest… Grooming and grooming your coat every hour when you were not napping or eating.
Your mum May and other human relatives would fly to Australia from all over the world to visit you every year. You loved their attention and always took advantage of their affection by pretending to be hungry and getting more food. Whenever I scolded you for that, you seemed to just smirk at me before running away.
Two years ago, you gave us a real scare when your eye was infected and had a major operation. I still remembered the vets said you had the best fighting spirit on the operation table, strong and determined to live. You adapted so well after, recovering slowly but steadily and within no time, you were back to your old self - Munching away on your favourite food, although always not enough according to you!
Whenever Uncle Tom was working interstate or on a hiking/travel trip, you spent some fun times with your bunny friends in boarding. All the minders said you loved the attention (especially from the ladies), love the food (of course) but always recognised Uncle Tom when he showed up to take you home. You used to sprint straight to your favourite little corners in the house once I brought you home – the spot in the living room underneath the table (the naughty corner) or the spot by the window looking out towards the garden where your one time boarding friend - Harry the Dobermann used to stay.
In recent years, your arthritic little paws and one good eye stopped you from sprinting madly around the house and jumping playfully on the sofas and barriers. But you still loved to be around people in your special way. You would always find where people were and take your naps next to them. Whenever the doors were left ajar, you would always squeeze your way through because you wanted to be close to us.
After writing 6 years of imaginary dialogue for you, it seems that you have really acquired that fictional yet realistic character of yours on Pbase - funny, mischievous, caring and of course loveable.
So goodbye, my dear friend. Thank you for being such a good pet bringing us so much joy in the last 6 years. You will be missed by everyone in the family and friends around the world.
You are always the best bunny.
Uncle Tom
