Phalaenopsis

A single purple orchid,
So finely put together,
Colours melt into each other,
Petals spread and feather.

Sunlight glitters on the pollen,
Such beauty in one small thing,
A sad, peaceful quiet moment,
What emotion a flower can bring.

A gift from God, given to me
To bring here to you little one,
I picture your tiny form
Kissed by golden sun.

I breathe the sweet smelling flower,
There is nothing now for me to say.
I gently lay it on your tiny grave,
And slowly walk away
