Song of Hiawatha

This challenge made me think of how, when I was very young, I would go to sleep wishing that I would be abducted by indians and taken to a village to live where no could find me. I don't remember why this was my fantasy escape - I know I had the poem of Hiawatha. Also, I had been told as a child that my father had a native American ancestor. So maybe the two together - I have NO idea except that it was a happy thought for me!

What a fascinating fantasy! This is a lovely image that speaks to me of the bond the tribes have with nature and the cosmos, and a comforting sense of belonging as well as storytelling at it's finest! We live in Chumash Territory near a museum in an oak forest where a wonderful cave with pictographs has been preserved. Love the tepee! ~Meg

A Romantic escape, perhaps, well presented. It is a strange fantasy for a young girl, maybe a seed for your creativity.

Very good. Catches the spirit. I suppose she glows because she's Moon's daughter. Composition is "golden" and "directions" keep leading the eye into the bg center. Adds mystery - what is back there? >PJSvBFCM
