Ohhh throw it OUT !!!

Day 17: Something you know you should throw out or give away.

This is not mine, but in my home, my hubbys before I met him,
I want it gone, but he seems to hold on to it.
We have tried to give it away, but NO-ONE wants it !! lol

Its what we call a campstretcher here in New Zealand
, ( a bed for when you go camping)
these old time ones were made of canvas were used in the 50's and 60's
and probably earlier when you went camping..in your tent !
You can see the stamp from Croydon, ENGLAND !!
I bet it would last longer than todays versions..

BUT its old, its yukky, and I want it gone
( we dont have the usual collection in the area that we live that we can put it on the road side like other Aucklanders do every so often)
and we cant put it in our weekly rubbish !
Its taking up room in my garage !!!

Anyone want it ???? !!!!

(maybe you could use the metal bits for a tripod.. anyone? ) LOL LOL...

Too heavy to carry, getting rid of it won't be an easy job Dawn!! :)
Brenda17-Nov-2011 23:14
Have you tried putting it next to the curb with a "free" sign on it?
jeanb17-Nov-2011 20:14
One way to get rid of it would be to label it 'private - do not remove'
(but then you might get the bomb squad arriving de-defuse it..) Oh dear, life was far less complicated when these were around.

If there is an earthquake, then you might need it! Think!

LOL! I wish you luck finding another home for it. ;)

LOL ~ Why don't you have a friend come over and throw this out for you! :) Janiceeeeeeeee ~ would you please help Dawn get rid of this???

Looks heavy for sure. I would imaging having to pack and carry it a few time would seal the deal.
Maaike Huizer17-Nov-2011 09:30
It is a classic! Keep it another 50 years and it will be antique.
laine17-Nov-2011 09:24
Buuuut...you just try to get one of this quality...bet you can't!! :))
Janice Dunn17-Nov-2011 09:19
Go on - throw it away. (I'll let you know when we have another collection down here.)
But it might come in handy when Linda Comes to stay next year...
Sheila17-Nov-2011 08:18
haha get rid of it. Kev says it would be easy to cut down with a hacksaw to fit it in your bin :-))
