Texas Recluse Spider - Loxosceles devia

Supposedly this is the only photo of this species on the net. It is the southernmost relative of the Brown Recluse and just as potent.

Very nice macro of this wicked little beast, Jason. Of all the spiders in N. America, the Brown Recluse is the one I don't want to mess with. And I'll admit to being prone to exterminate anything that I suspect to be one. All others (ok, not Black Widows) get escorted out of the house to domicile elsewhere.
