W/B Route 66 Amboy, CA. My parents and I travled this highway for the first time while moving from Illinois to California in Sep 1955. My father had been stationed nearby in WW II at Camp Clipper in 1943 for training prior to being deployed to the South Pacific. His said he would come back to California some day, and like so many others, traveled this desert highway to his dreams.
