Too many geese and an odd duck

Wisconsin

Bob said that you can never have too many geese. He hasn't tried to walk the path around this little lake near my house. ;-}

If this place was near my house, I'd be in heaven. (For a while anyway)
The last time I saw a few geese it was in the zoo.
This is a sight for sore eyes, beautiful. Love the colour of the water.
Are they Canada Geese, at least that what they look like to me??

Must be migration time.
Amazing display, and very well done.
I do agree with Bob; no such thing as too many geese.

What an amazing scene. Nothing like this ever happens around here.
Yes, l see what you mean Cindy. Walking under a sky full of geese
would be a real hazard

LOL... we were pretty light on our Geese last year, but if the normal
number return to Skagit Flats this year, you will be seeing what a lot
of geese really looks like in the next few months.

Thanks, SageCreek and Lennart.
Lennart, Yes, Canada Geese...by the thousands. It doesn't help that we live near 2 protected marshes. They seem to like to come into town during the day because they know that they are safe from hunters. They return to the marsh at dusk. Once in a while, someone will bring a bird-dog down to the walking path that circles this lake. It is fun to watch because the geese lift-off en-masse as soon as they see a big dog.

These are canadian goose. We have them in Sweden too. Imported (for hunting I think) in the 30s and growing in numbers totally out of proportion! A great shot of how they gather during winter tie!

A nice image of all these geese...

Thanks Maggie and Pat. My house is a few blocks away, directly behind those trees. At dusk, they lift off and fly down to the Horicon marsh for the night. The sky over my house is full of honking geese and it is not safe to be outside...if you know what I mean.

We have this many now... all over the place because we are at the narrow part of lake Ontario and an easy spot to cross..They start flying east instead of south fifty miles north of here because they already know that...Love the light composition and colors
