The Royal Aircraft Establishment (later Royal Aerospace Establishment) had an interesting fleet with various types of aircraft and helicopters. Part of the RAE was Wessex HC.2 XR503 (c/n WA128), first flown August 23rd, 1963 and delivered to the RAF one month later. It lays now derelict at the Manston fire dump.
