Ugly, impressive, reliable. The Wessex was an important helicopter for both the RAF and RN, serving more than 3 decades. 22sqdn Wessex HC.2 XT604 entered service in August 1966. It was retired in 1995 with over 9,000 flying hours. It is now preserved in the East Midlands Aeropark.
