Red-necked Grebe

This is my first good photo of this species. Normally Red-necked Grebes, being diving birds, are far out in deeper water and today was no different, but we had a solution to that problem ;) It was bitterly cold with the wind in our faces as we stood exposed to every bit of its chilling bite and I started getting a bit seasick of sorts (which I still feel as I type this) as the rough water bounced us up and down (and I was almost tossed into the water at one point!), but it was worth it in the end. A couple of more photos follow.

Very nice capture of a species I've yet to see.

Nice shot. How come seabirds never get seasick? :-)

A nice set of images Chris. That hot bowl of soup at Ralph's sure hit the spot afterwards.
