IMG_3559 October Snow Storm ...

The weather channel called for snow this afternoon
but
it started snowing earlier at 8AM at work.

Driving home was a shushy mess and branches everywhere.
Traffic lights were out due to towns without electric.

Power at home was out, started about 12 noon and came back at 4PM for about 40 minutes
and then went out again. Who knows if it will go out again during the night.
We did manage to get quick showers and eat pot pies for dinner in between outages.

Back on the road in the early morning to work tomorrow.
This is the first time it has snowed in October 1979 before Winter officially begins.
Some call it the Halloween snow !
I like to call it a white mess !

It looks like Christmas

By 5pm, there is about 8" of snow and still counting.
I think the snow will be tapering off soon.

Beautiful images Sue Anne although I'm sure you'd rather not have snow so soon. Keep safe and warm.

Wow! is it a premature snow or it is normal to have such amount of snow in this time?
Fabulous captures, indeed. ~V

Wow! It's still feeling unseasonably warm here but hope we get a bit of snow in time for Christmas... just for the kids, of course ;o)

It looks amazing - even better that I can see it all from the warm and dry with heating and electricity - hope it all gets sorted quickly :o)

Your pictures are lovely. You live in a great place and the snow makes it a fairyland. Too bad you have to go out. That slushy stuff is the worst. We get it like that.

Already? Great! V.
