Red Knots - Duxbury Beach, MA - Oct. 22, 2011

Knots used to be abundant in the Crescent Beach area as documented by Ed Neumuth and others. Now they are regular but not common and usually in groups of 2-6. Today there were 11 birds (none banded) fattening up for their trip to South America.
