Robbie

Poor old Robbie is not his usual self these days. Several visits to the vet over the last couple of weeks have not really yielded any idea as to what ails him, other than it may be simply his old body running down. He is somewhere between 19 and 21, and most likely older rather than younger. He has always been a very busy and inquisitive cat, always very 'there'! But now he sleeps more and eats little.

Most of the cats at their end, that I have seen, get paralysed and blind. He doesn't seem there yet.

The Vet gave me some Forti Flora for Simon. It is a probiotic that helps aid digestion and improves appetite for old cats. It is a powder that I can sprinkle on the food. Simon and the other cats LOVE it. Vet said it is good for the others too, but I try to keep it for Simon since he needs it to keep weight on. The original purpose of the Forti Flora was to help cats with diarrhea, but it works in other ways too. It was not very expensive either. Here is more info:

my goodness! I didn't know cats lived that long! Robbie doesn't look a day over 7! He's obviously been loved and well cared for. Such a handsome guy! And a beautiful portrait, Christine! V~

He looks tired, sad when you see that it takes the "wrong" direction! Lovely portrait! V
