From Lake Nakuru, it was a 6 hours drive to the northern region of the Rift Valley to Samburu National Reserve. Samburu National Reserve covers an area of 165 sq. km and is a semi-desert region and named after the Samburu people (close relatives of the Masai people.)
Climate is hot and dry in the day and cool in the evening and night.
