on the road - brent

There is a lot wrong with this image - how cluttered it is, that orange flag in the center, is it straight - but somehow when I fix the pict it just ruins it for me - that feeling of being out on the road with a friend...

Sometimes it's all about the atmosphere, and this has plenty! Besides, I've yet to find a perfectly straight and level rural road anywhere!

I like it. Especially the way you positioned the road in the picture. Someone advised me a couple of years ago to use the term "a picture with character" when you talk about a picture that you like as it is.

I think it's just fine. This really captures the essence of a country road. Reminds me of many a drive in upstate NY

You know, if you fixed it to much it might ruin the atmosphere too. It reminded me of trip my folks, my older brother and I took to southern Indiana. My older cousin had a car and we all packed in that car and went to a drive-in theater to watch "Wild in the Streets". A movie about the youth taking over the world and inprisoning anyone over 30. Anywho, this is just how the roads looked on the way to the little town we went to. Funny how a photo can make so many memories stuck in our heads, come flowing out. I love this photo, very much.
