I know it's all the rain which makes Ireland so green but at this stage I could do with a little less rain and a little more sunshine. Autumn is normally my favourite season and in recent years I haven't been disappointed with sunny days and glorious colours. This year, however, has seen the wet weather which dominated our summer carry on. The skies are laden with grey clouds and when it's not actually raining, it feels as though you are walking in a cloud. Frankly I'm fed up with it as this stage. It's no good for taking photos and it's no good for walking the dog - he mightn't mind get soaked but I do.
On the plus side, Ireland have now made it to a play-off place for Euro 2012.
