My error, its actually Nellie Cameron, I've amended this post. I'm a bit more aware of the history at present as we are mounting an immersive theatre production of The Razor Gang Wars in the crypt under St James' church Sydney in Oct-Nov (all being well by then). We'll have to cast Kate, Tilly and Nellie

This is not Kate Leigh or Tilly Devine. This is a barmaid called Patsy Neill who was involved in various criminal activities including theft and selling cocaine.

Notice that the curtain to the right is the same in Kate Leigh's NSW Police photo in 1917 and in Tilly Devine's NSW Police photo in 1925. Perhaps demonstrating that the NSW Police didn't redecorate very often.

This NSW Police photo from 1917 is Kate Leigh. At 36 years old, she is much younger here than we're used to seeing her. Tilly Devine was only 17 years old in 1917 and was still living in London. Tilly didn't arrive in Sydney until 1920. They were both much more photographed and covered in the media from 1927-28 when they both became notorious in Sydney's Razorhurst zone.

This is not Kate but Tilly Devine.
