A loan of a friend’s macro lens for a taster. Even with a quick play it looks like it is time to invest.

I’ve no idea what this plant is called, but it was an interesting subject to test DoF.

Nikon D300S ,Nikkor 60mm f/2.8D AF Micro
1/25s f/7.1 at 60.0mm iso200 full exif

Super focus - and a pretty shallow DoF too, even at f/7.1 :o) BTW, I totally agree with Mr. Phil

Aha - yes!!! A macro lens is a must, it's addictive - and you'll have no problem wintering up your PaD :o)) This is fab, loads of colour-depth!
