The 3m Shane Reflector telescope

Got to do a tour of this giant telescope at Lick Observatory.

This telescope has a laser for Adaptive Optics.

The laser is used to correct the effects atmospheric turbulence on observations.

Here is picture of the laser at work on Sep 1, 2007
