Well, this is cropped, not one of my "close encounters" but closer than most will ever get. They are amazing animals to watch, graceful, yet massive.

I can't imagine how it feels to be this close to a pair of grizzly bears. I think at 200mm, it was closer than I'd want to be. I've lived in Minnesota (which has black bears) for 22 years now, and still have never seen one of them.
