Brie, my camera allows to set both at once jpeg and RAW. In this particular case where was no post-processing needed; jpeg conveyed exactly what my eyes saw. I only did some sharpening. But usually yes - only RAW.

Thank you!

Absolutely gorgeous and sharp image!! Just one question: Did you have your image-recording quality set to RAW on your camera for this shot? Just curious.

Such beautiful colors and lines, the lake feels like a mirror to fall into... Kudos for this wonderful photograph, and thank you for taking us with you on the way!

Everything about this is amazing... so much atmosphere it drags the viewer into the picture.

SARAH, you just made me blush:-)

I didn't use polarizer - the sun was straight behind my back; the polarizer in such situations is pretty much useless.
But I did use neutral density filter (Lee Big Stopper) to freeze the water and make the sky a bit more interesting.
I know many good spots in Rockies for photography, if you happen to be around Calgary, I will be happy to show you the places and suggest a few useful techniques. Thank you!

Thank you very much, ladies and gentlemen. I am a bit surprised by the reaction - I don't take myself too seriously as a photographer, but honestly I am very pleased. Thank you all!

I favorite most of your work and you are one of the best photographers I've ever seen, but this shot is perfect. I feel like I am there. The light is incredible. I know you don't need any more compliments so I'll refrain from going overboard. I would love to just follow you for a day and watch a genius at work, maybe I could pick up on something. You clearly know where to be and what angles to set up. Do you just sit in this one spot and take shots as the light moves or do you take a couple of this location and then run over to another spot? One question I did have was did you use a polarizer on this shot?

Amazing scenery... looks almost unreal! Reminds me of Mount Sefton Reflected in Mueller Glacier Lake, Mount Cook National Park, New Zealand.
Thank's to my friend for giving me the link.

Saw this in my friend's blog. An absolute nice piece of art! Wonder why I didn't become a photographer...
