Winter Prediction

West Virginia

Ok, I'm sure everyone knows this is a wooly bear and depending on the bands, you can tell how bad or mild the winter will be. But I was afraid some people would interpret the title to mean it's going to be cold because it's curled in a ball. They do this when they see a camera. Actually, it is going to be a bad winter according to the bands so maybe it is practicing.

For the September challenge - Transitions. Other transitions can be seen here.

Cool shot. Maybe you just need to turn it over to get a different prediction. If that doesn't work, try a different wooly bear. :)

Oh I hope your wooly bear is wrong, but our dogberry indicators are saying the same forecast. Great photo of this little creature and super detail. V.

They are usually accurate as is the amount of acorns on the oaks. Our live oaks are loaded with acorns this year bending the branches to the ground. We'll have some fat little squirrels.

There used to be a woman in Crab Orchard, TN, who predicted the weather and snows by such things, including where spiders built their webs. She was far more accurate than the National Weather Service. You do a fine job with the old 5050.
Best to you,
Dick:)

It's still an excellent shot of this adorable warm fuzzy, Karen! It seems like bad winters are getting to be a given. \/
