Thank you Traveller, that means a lot. It was processed to try to convey the intensity of the rain, which left many parts of Northern Thailand flooded, although remarkably I missed the worst at every destination by a few hours. For about two weeks running, I'd arrive at a town, switch on the news, and invariably see the town I'd just left flooded in two feet of water. It was hard to tell if I was cursed or blessed!
It was absolutely bucketing down in this scene (which is why I tried to photograph it), yet the jpeg made it look like a light summer shower. I reduced the contrast in the top half of the photo and the rain leapt out of the dark. -Najinsky
