MiG-27K (768026)27169/44 of 559APIB being prepared for its flight home, very early in the morning of March 22nd, 1993 at Finsterwalde. 559.ABIP flew the most sophisticated version of the MiG-27, the Flogger-J2 (or K-version). This version had a laser designator and the compatibility with TV-guided electro-optical weapons. Around 200 were built, of which over 30 examples served at Finsterwalde. There are no MiG-27's active anymore, although large numbers are stored throughout Russia.
