Koksijde

Retired and awaiting the bad things to come... F-104G FX-65 (c/n 9108 and built by SABCA), formerly flying with 1 Wing at Bevekom, but struck of charge in 1981 and seen here at Koksijde. Several Belgian Starfighters were parked there, since they weren't in the right shape for a 2nd life with the Turkish Air Force. FX-65 was saved and is now preserved at Alexandria in the US as '56-0791/FG-791'.

The FX65 has been delivered to 10 Wing at Kleine Brogel where it spend most of its operational life. It has also been flown by 350 Squadron at 1 Wing Beauvechain but ended up with 23 Squadron 10 Wing.
