Normally based at Falkenberg, but here being refueled during an open day at Grossenhain. MiG-29 28105/29(r) was part of 31GvIAP, a 'Gvardija' regiment of the 16th Soviet Air Force in the (former) German Democratic Republic. 31GvIAP left German soil on June 15th, 1993 and went to Zernograd. The unit was disbanded on August 1st, 2009.
