Tropical Storm Lee Just Won't Go Away

Louisiana

This is a road I travel to get owl photos. The deluge of rain combined with the storm surge from Lake Pontchartrain have made it impassable.
Perilloux Place has had 15 inches of rain so far and it is still coming down with one more day to go according to the weather people.
We were without electrical power Saturday and until noon Sunday. Makes for a long, humid night.

We had pictures on our news bulletin on TV tonight (in Australia!) it looked bad, far too much water... hope it all subsides quickly!

The water is over my bulk head and coming into my yard.
Luckily my house is 20 ft above the present water level.
Its the highest its been since Hurricane Ike.

Oh yes, too hot and humid to sleep. Amazing photo shows off the amount of rain well. I hope things clear up for you soon. We never got a drop, just a lot of wind.
