When the rail at the crossing is spread and pulled, the ties will be extracted and the tie plates and spikes
will be thrown off to the side. The resulting depression will then be filled with gravel once the bucket is
put back on the loader. The crossbucks will soon be pulled down and in less than an hour a casual observer
traversing the former crossing in a vehicle will be unaware that a railway existed here at one time.
