Repairing VT 132 outside South Strafford after Irene

South Strafford, Vermont

Strafford was almost completely cut off by Irene, but all the roads have been reopened except this stretch of 132 along the West Branch of the Ompompanoosuc River, one of the main routes out of town.

Thanks, Mary -- Strafford got off easier than a lot of Vermont towns -- lots of roads out, but they've been patched up amazingly quickly (except 132 East). Permanent repairs may take a lot longer.

Oh, my goodness. I hope all were well and that things will soon be back to normal. That is SOME picture, with the truck seen through the dust.
