Denman Island

mountains run the length of Vancouver Island, and this group of peaks just south of Comox is named the Beaufort Range...the summer's day view here is from the tip of the same point, or spit, of land on Denman Island seen in the previous image

Nice striations here, as though Nature created a series out of whim to catch the eye and appease the soul: cornucopias of wild flowers; now a thin-icing layer of liquid lapis; top that with a furry range of deep emerald green trees and hills splotched with a few white doodads; then a mountain range massive, majestic, and monumental; lastly, the empyrean blue with a bit of puffy cotton balls dipping down...and voila'-- a visually feasting layer cake.
