La Copa de las Americas took place in Buenos Aires during July...Soccer (Futbol) teams from every nation in the western hemisphere competed and the ultimate winner was Uruguay...on the night of that victory tens of thousands of Uruguayans gathered in the center of Buenos Aires at the Obelisk (Obelisco) to wave their country's flag, blow horns, bang drums, sing and cheer, and also drive around waving giant flags honking the horns of their cars...a good time was had by all!
