Well said, Iris. Playgrounds come in many varieties. This one has been used beyond its time, and defines the nature and character of the neighborhood as it is today. I am sure your own experience growing up in Brooklyn was quite different -- urban life is in constant change, and the "street" acts as the barometer of such change.

As a child growing up in Brooklyn, the streets were our urban playgrounds, as contrasted with the backyard communities I experienced upon moving to Los Angeles. While this image pays homage to the "streets", it also portrays the diversity and change that evolve within the urban setting.
