Bridge over the Mississippi River - Architecture in Black and White

New Orleans

Our drought is over, even though we are still minus 5 inches of rain for the year. We have had deluges every day for a week and yesterday's was a real flood. I couldn't have taken photos if I had wanted to, it was dark most of the day.

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I see this picture for the first time, not in the challenge? Very well taken!

Wish some of that rain would travel north. It's been 29 days in a row over 100 here...getting tired of it. Grat pic though....Twin bridges. Nice, nice work! V

Whats the old adage, when it rains it pours. Twin bridges, nicely seen!

I'm so jealous. We had hoped that TS Don would come our way, but he went south to Corpus and we didn't get any rain. :( But, at least some parts of Texas, east and now southwest, will get rain. Love the perspective here. Such impressive spans!

Your black and white photos have been very nice. I've been busy and on a break from photos this past month. Leaving Aug 10th for Africa!

I'm glad you've had some relief. This is another great B&W.

The black and white theme really suits your subjects. Love the perspective of this bridge and the moody sky.

That is great news about the rain. I like your perspective here!

nice dramatic sky, goes well with the lines of the bridge.
