A 'sneaky picture' of an early MiG-29 type 9.12 'Fulcrum-A'. This example (07641/07) of 968IAP at Altenburg has the anti-spin ventral fins, indicating it is one of the first 100 MiG-29's that were built around 1983 and entered service in 1984, replacing the MiG-23ML(D)within Soviet Frontal Aviation. On April 22nd, 1992, 968IAP went back to Russia. Most of these early 'extra ventral fins'-Fulcrums were retired by the mid-1990's.
