The road goes around the paradise valley. The trip starts after the second bridge (4th crossing one bridge and two culverts before that?) or some start where the road turns to go down the other side of the valley.

One climbs along the creek until one gets to an open area, and the easiest way up Mazama Ridge, other than down at Reflection Lakes.

You can just make out the water fall in the top corner, which divides Mazama ridge from the skyline rim that goes around the bowl above the road (can't really see most of it from here or most places).
