The Beyazıt Paşa Mosque, built in 1414 on initiative of this Grand Vizir of sultan Mehmet I.
On the picture: The small hallway between the portico and the prayer hall. On the left and right sides: wooden shoe racks where worshippers and visitors leave their shoes when entering the mosque. Above the entrance door: the building inscription (mentioning date and builder) under a painted muqarnas (stalactite) vaulting.
