This morning I took my bike out along trails among bales of hay and horses. Black Swallowtails fluttered in the wayside, their wings silent in whirlwind flight, while Indigo Buntings sang defense of their territories in all their blue delight. It was my kind of place! Then my tire went flat and that was the end of that.
