Both parents were coming in with food to feed this chick. It looks bigger than the parents and must nearly be ready to fledge.

Lovely. We were out with Denise Wight last week @ Valley Vista and the VGs were in fast pursuit of the copious gnats and other tiny fast insects. What a thrill:)
