Female moose spotted south of the Jackson Lake Lodge. In the Yellowstonee region, including the Grand Tetons, there are only about 600 moose compared to nearly 25,000 elk. In the summer, moose are very wary and reclusive, which makes this sighting (and the only one during our visit) especially rewarding.
