It is amazing to hold something that your Great Grandmother has cherished. To look through and see her handwriting and know that she has recorded this family history with such care. This Imperial Family Bible on my Mother's Paternal side has been in the family for 4 generations and holds 5 generations of tidbits of our family history. I have photographed it in a photojournalism way to preserve the information that it contains but have always wanted to photograph it in a way that also captures the history and charm of this worn family heirloom.

A good friend of mine demonstrated this photo painting technique so I decided to give it a try for this project. Here is my attempt.
