I was invited to attend a press confrence today at the state capitol to kick-off the Governor's Operation Lifesaver blitz which will begin September 6.
While there I took the opportunity to take a few (hundred) photographs.
This is our state capitol building. It was built in the 1930's by then governor Huey P Long, who also was assasinated in the halls of the buildig. The view from the 27th floor is impressive. We will share some of these photos with you in the future.
The capitol is the tallest in the US. It was built on the first Baton Rouge site of the campus of LSU - the Pentagon Barracks.
