Allende carbonaceous chondrite, 2 cm diameter, 4.3 g. N Mexico.

Allende fell on February 8, 1969 after a bright bolide was seen in the early hours of the morning. A huge fireball exploded over northern Mexico. Allende fell as a shower in many fragments over an area of 10 x 50 km. One of the fragments nearly hit the post office of Pueblito de Allende, hence the name.
