While the sheer walls, lush greens, and bright breezes of Yosemite valley are a sensory feast, the water is what impressed me most.
For the first time in at least 15 years the waterfalls, creeks and Merced river of Yosemite were at full force because of heavy winter and spring snows in the Sierra Nevadas.
The crystal clear brooks, raging Merced river, drenching Bridalvail falls, cool mists and the late afternoon reflections were the most intense on my senses.
The ever-present sounds of rushing water and the fresh, clean air were almost overwhelming.
