I stopped to apply bug spray early on (darn deer flies!) and got quite a shock after picking up my net. This spider (perhaps a Dolomedes species?) was sitting inside, seeming quite content until I tried to take its picture! Then it scurried into the shadows where I managed to take this one photo before deciding it didn't the attention and disappeared back into the bog.
