Type II Supernova in M51 ST2000XM camera with Astronomix Filters, 8" Meade ACF with OPTEC reducer-flattener LUM 8x6min RGB 5x4min 2x2 each processing CCDStack and Photoshop CS4

Sometimes it is all about just how badly you want something. The Supernova is such a rare event,and I had to make 4 attempts before finally acquiring an image that is in need of more exposure. The Mount was sticking, auto focus not working, challenges with alignment, not to mention the full moon and super high humidity. In this case perserverance was paramount. June 2011
