Juvenile bald eagles, with the exception of their color, resemble their parents, but are nothing like them in behavior. They have to learn how to hunt, and they only have a few months of their first summer to learn. After that, they're on their own. The first winter is the most dangerous and difficult part of an eagle's life. This bird watched it parents, survivied that first winter, is now fully on its own, it's coloring will change and it will reach sexual maturity at 4-5 years old. ~ americanbaldeagleinfo.com
